You knew she’d get a comment in somehow. Stephanie McMahon is at least partially credited with sparking the Women’s Revolution a few years back. While that may or may not be the most accurate statement, there is no doubt that she’s been around some of the most important moments in women’s wrestling history. Now she has some comments on the upcoming women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
McMahon was recently interviewed by WWE.com about this Sunday’s first ever women’s Money in the Bank match. She compared it to some of the other major moments in women’s wrestling history and then said that the only thing left for the women to do was main event Wrestlemania. Here’s the entire clip:
Stephanie McMahon reacts to the history-making Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match: June 13, 2017
Opinion: I’m not a fan of McMahon and while I think her contributions to the Women’s Revolution are completely overblown, it’s almost impossible to not hear what she has to say on something like this. She’s not wrong that the women are running out of new milestones to hit and while I can’t imagine them ever main eventing Wrestlemania, I would have said the same thing about almost anything else they’ve accomplished in recent years.
Do you think women will ever main event Wrestlemania? What other milestones do they have to accomplish? Let us know in the comments below.
