Kurt Angle Set to Renew an ‘Attitude Era’ Rivalry Soon

Even though WWE fans are thrilled that Kurt Angle is back as a weekly character, they’re not as thrilled as they would be if he was actually wrestling, or if he were involved in an interesting feud with someone on the roster. We’re probably several months away from Angle’s actual in-ring return, but, we’re not all that far away from the build up to it. In fact, the build up has been happening over the last couple of weeks.

So, the question is, who will be Angle’s opponent when he finally does get back in the ring? The answer to that question is fairly predictable, as the current plan is for him to wrestle Triple H, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

On Monday’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez presented Meltzer with a storyline idea regarding Enzo Amore’s mystery attacker, which led to Meltzer saying that the current direction for Enzo has nothing to do with Kurt Angle. You’re probably asking, “why would Kurt Angle be involved in the Enzo and Cass storyline?” Well, then take a look below.

Alvarez: “What if Kurt Angle is the one who attacked Enzo, and Cass I guess, and somebody caught it on tape? And Corey Graves has footage, and that’s why Angle says that it will destroy his reputation, it will destroy him as the GM. We all know that Corey Graves hates Enzo.”

Meltzer: “So, how do we get to Angle and Triple H?”

Alvarez: “Is that where we’re going?”

Meltzer: “Yep.”
