Oh turn. Over the last few weeks, AJ Styles has called out the Good Brothers for not being the same team that he knew in Japan. Styles may have a point as the Good Brothers have been an afterthought for years now. At the same time though, the team doesn’t seem to think Styles is the same person either. A lot of things came to a head after this week’s show.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Styles was defeated by Ricochet in a match for the United States Title. After the match was over, Styles attacked Ricochet with the help of the Good Brothers. The three of them then posed with the Too Sweet sign and said that they were back to end the show. This comes less than a week after the trio appeared together in Japan where they enjoyed the most collective success of their careers.
They’ve done this before. Check out the big post match beatdown:
Opinion: I’m not sure how well this is going to go long term but Styles has shown that he is more than comfortable as a heel in WWE. At the same time, this is as s strong of a pitch as WWE can make to the Good Brothers to keep them around, though in this case I can’t imagine them actually sticking around. At least we can get a good story out of it for the time being though.
