It’s something. We are less than two weeks away from Fastlane but you might not know it watching Monday Night Raw. Despite there being one more episode of the show before the pay per view, there are no Monday Night Raw matches set for the show as of yet. That is a problem that needs to be addressed and WWE does seem to have plans for at least one match.
One of the biggest stories on Monday Night Raw in recent months has been the friendship and then rivalry between Drew McIntyre and Sheamus. The two of them have been friends for over twenty years and rekindled that friendship on Monday Night Raw. Then Sheamus turned on McIntyre for the sake of a WWE Title shot. Things have picked up since then and now we know what is coming next.
According to Wrestling Observer Live, WWE’s current plan is to hold a Last Man Standing match between the two at Fastlane. This comes after McIntyre defeated Sheamus in a match on the March 1 Monday Night Raw, followed by a no contest on this week’s show when both were unable to continue. The match or stipulation have yet to be mentioned on television.
It has been a heck of a feud. Check out how we got here:
Opinion: This is something you probably could have guessed just by watching Monday Night Raw this week and that is not a bad thing. The two of them have done a lot of good things in the last few weeks and I’m curious to see how things go when they get another chance to beat the fire out of each other. Their previous matches have worked well so maybe they can make the big one work even better.
