He would do it too. There are some unique characters in the wrestling world but there is only one Vince McMahon. In addition to being the most influential and powerful main in modern wrestling, McMahon is also someone who can never be duplicated no matter what. Sometimes you see him do things that are hard to fathom at times, and we almost saw another item added to that list a few years ago.

In addition to being the owner of WWE, McMahon is also someone who has appeared on camera on and off for more than forty years. That is impressive enough on its own but sometimes McMahon even gets in te ring. For someone who doesn’t have any traditional formal training, McMahon does quite well most of the time and has even won a few titles in his day. It turns out that he almost got in the ring again on the big stage.

Kevin Owens recently spoke to Alex McCarthy of TalkSport, during which he revealed that McMahon was originally scheduled to team with his son Shane McMahon against Owens and Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 34 in 2018. Owens and Zayn teamed up to face Shane and Daniel Bryan at the show, though Owens had attacked Vince the previous September. McCarthy originally listed the match as taking place at WrestleMania 33 but corrected himself in a later tweet.

It was a cool setup. Check out how the match was made and what we wound up getting:

Opinion: I know it sounds insane to think that Vince would have been having that match at 72 years old, but would you really put it past him? There is no one in wrestling history like Vince and that is never going to change. That is almost hard to fathom but at the end of the day, Vince is the most unique boss in wrestling history and is willing to do almost anything at any time, including this.

Would you have wanted to see the match? How did you like what we got instead? Let us know in the comments below.
