He sounds a lot more together now. A few years back, Matt Hardy debuted his Broken persona, which changed his entire career trajectory. The character, which started all the way back in Impact Wrestling, eventually made its way to WWE where it took on another life of its own. Hardy returned a few weeks ago though and the Broken character was nowhere to be seen. However, he might have something new in mind.
This is certainly different. Check out Hardy’s new(ish) character:
In a new video posted to his personal YouTube page, Hardy introduced a character called Big Money Matt Hardy. The new character is obsessed with his own fame and wealth while talking about all of the hard parts of his life, which mainly involve problems such as having to walk down several flights of stairs in his mansion and how hard it is to be him. Hardy originally used the character in Impact Wrestling back in 2015.
Opinion: I like it. This character is so polar opposite what Hardy did with the Broken character that it makes you forget what he was doing before. It also shows you just how creative Hardy is. A lot of wrestlers have trouble making one entertaining character and Hardy has already come up with two. He’ll have a job in wrestling for life given all of his successes, and there’s no denying that he’s earned it.
Which of the Hardy characters do you prefer? Will he wrestle like this in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
