That’s a big promotion. Earlier this week, WWE held a press conference in Tampa, Florida to announce that next year’s WrestleMania 36 will be held in the city. It’s a big move for the company and opens the possibility of all kinds of new things for the next year’s worth of build. This includes a variety of names possibly appearing on the show, with one current developmental name possibly being added to the main roster.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Kairi Sane was mentioned as a potential new main roster name to be performing at WrestleMania 36. Sane is currently down in NXT, where she is a former NXT Women’s Champion as well as the winner of the inaugural Mae Young Classic. It should also be mentioned that WrestleMania will be held in Raymond James Stadium, the home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which features a large pirate ship. Sane is known for her love of pirates and is currently half of the Sky Pirates tag team.

Maybe this is a preview. Check out the Sky Pirates interacting with some main roster champions earlier in the week:

Opinion: If WWE doesn’t actually have Sane at the pirate ship, they have failed at all things made of wrestling. This should be one of the easiest layups around and I’m hoping that WWE understands that. Sane and Io Shirai doing something, anything for that matter, involving the ship would work great and WWE should understand the idea. Sane seems ready to be moved up to the main roster so this is far from a surprise.
