It’s the most frightening time of the year. We’re a day away from Halloween and that means it’s time for the scarier things in life. This includes WWE, which has had a variety of scary wrestlers over the years. Some of them were certainly from the more comedic errors of the company’s history, but they certainly aren’t limited to those times. I think you know where we’re going from here.
This could go multiple ways.
WWE has released a new Top Ten video looking at the Scariest Superstars in the company’s history. This list includes names from throughout the company’s history and mainly focuses on the more traditional definition of a scary character, though there is one notable exception. The majority of them are from the last twenty or so years, though some do go beyond that era.
Opinion: This could have been a rather funny list if WWE looked at it with a bit of tongue in cheek humor, but what they did was perfectly fine. There were several wrestlers who scared the heck out of me as a kid, with names like Papa Shango, Kamala and Mankind near the top of the list. These are the kind of things that will work forever in wrestling and it’s cool to see something like this around this time of year.
Which of these is your favorite? What did WWE leave off the list? Let us know in the comments below.
