Then things got weird. Over the last few months, Bray Wyatt has been one of the most interesting characters in all of wrestling. Riding the strength of the Fiend persona, Wyatt has turned into something rather different than his usual cult leader character, while also showcasing his zany side in the Firefly Fun House vignettes. The latter was on display in a rather different place and it was rather incredible.
Wyatt, in his Firefly Fun House persona, appeared on Good Day Sacramento on Thursday to promote Sunday’s Hell In A Cell event where the Fiend will challenge for the Universal Title. During the interview, the hosts complimented Wyatt on his pleasant demeanor and even took turns talking to him. The Fiend was mentioned and shown, with Wyatt suggesting that he and the Fiend were different people before demonstrating his Yowie Wowie catchphrase.
Watch this and tell me it isn’t a little disturbing. Check out Wyatt’s appearance:
Opinion: This is one of those things that shows how awesome it can be if you let someone expand on their character. One of the things that has made Wyatt so much of a success is how much he seems to be into the character so having him do something like this completely in character makes it even better. You don’t see something like that very often and it makes Wyatt stand out, which so few do these days.
Will Wyatt win the title on Sunday? What has made the new character such a success? Let us know in the comments below.
