That makes more sense. One of the more interesting stories over the last few weeks has been Ric Flair’s trademark case against WWE over the Man nickname. WWE is currently pushing Becky Lynch under the name, yet Flair has called himself such for decades. This made it even more interesting when Flair was announced as being a coach for a match at Crown Jewel later this year. It turns out that there is a good reason for everything going on.

According to Tom Colohue of Sportskeeda.com, the reason Flair is being used in the role at Crown Jewel is to make him happier about the trademark issue. Flair has acknowledged that he wants money out of the situation so WWE is giving him the role to make up for the situation. There is no word on if this new position will resolve the entire situation or if Flair will let the trademark issue go.

It’s going to be a big match. Check out the entire setup:

Opinion: Is this really a surprise? Flair seemed like he wanted a payday out of the whole thing and really, that isn’t shocking. WWE has all of the money and as much influence as they want, with the Saudi Arabia money being a huge boost to their financial status. If this is what it takes to make the Flair situation go away, I’m sure WWE can get over the minor financial burden it puts on them.

Will this make Flair drop the situation? Who do you expect to be on Flair’s team? Let us know in the comments below.
