(WATCH): The Rare Tag Team. An Odd Pair Of Wrestlers Are Teaming Up For A Horror Movie.

What a pairing. Roddy Piper once said “When I was acting, they said I was just a wrestler but when I was wrestling, they said I was just acting.” Wrestling and acting would seem to go hand in hand yet very few wrestlers have found mainstream acting success. Other than the Rock and John Cena, very few have come close to being movie stars. A pair of wrestlers are getting into the movie business and it could be a rather interesting situation.

According to 411mania.com, Bret Hart and current Women of Honor Champion Angelina Love have been announced for a new horror movie called Demented. The film is described as a “docu-style story, telling the harsh realities of voyeurism meeting Final Fantasy.” It will premiere at the Edmonton Festival of Fear on October 12 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada with international distribution to follow. Hart has dabbled in acting before, including a semi-regular role in the Lonesome Dove television series.

Opinion: I’m not much of a horror fan but it’s always cool to see wrestlers getting involved in something like this. Odds are it doesn’t become anything special but at least they’re trying to do something a little fun. Love has been around the business for a long time now and Hart is as legendary as you can get so why not see if they can make something like this work?
