We’re doing a sequel. The main event of “Great Balls of Fire” was a heck of a brawl between Brock Lesnar vs. Samoa Joe for Lesnar’s Universal Title. They beat each other for a short yet intense few minutes until Lesnar defeated Samoa Joe to retain the title via an F5. As it turns out, they did it again recently.
On Friday night in the final WWE show at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Lesnar defended the title against Samoa Joe again at a “Smackdown Live” house show. The match was another short outing with Lesnar retaining via the F5 and WWE has released a video showing Lesnar’s entrance and a few moments of the match. Here you go:
Brock Lesnar vs. Samoa Joe - WWE Universal Title Match: Exclusive, July 31, 2017
Opinion: I love it when you get special matches like this on a house show. Lesnar vs. Samoa Joe was an awesome match at the pay per view and it’s cool to see something like this as a surprise. Lesnar is a special treat by definition and that makes this something fun for the fans to see, especially in a show that WWE wanted to make feel important.
