Pete Dunne will defend WWE United Kingdom Title in a Fatal 4-Way Match at ICW's Shug's Hoose Party 4

Pete Dunne has defended his UK Championship at Scottish promotion ICW’s ‘Shug’s Hoose Party 4’ this weekend, where he emerged victorious in a Fatal 4 Way.

Dunne defended the title on July 29 at Night 1 of 2 against Trent Seven, Wolfgang and BT Gunn in a Fatal 4 Way match. While he ultimately won, there is reason to believe he may feud with several of these athletes individually in the future for the Championship.

The event itself was held in Glasgow, Scotland at the 02 ABC and was sold-out. If you are interested in viewing ‘Shug’s Hoose Party 4,’ you can purchase the ICW on-demand service to watch both nights one day after the event has been filmed. The show also sees Noam Dar return to the promotion he became famous in for this event, teaming with former ‘Pinky Party’ tag team partner Sha Samuels in a tag team match against current GFW competitor Grado and ICW World Heavyweight Champion Joe Coffey.

WWE had this to say about Dunne’s defense:

“Following the match, the victorious Dunne, never one to mince words, said “ICW is one of the top promotions in the world, and I own it now … just like I own WWE.” Now that Dunne has turned back three opponents in one fell swoop, who will be next in line to step to The BruiserWeight? This much is obvious: The brash but brilliantly dangerous Dunne is unlikely to back down from the challenger, whomever it is.”

The commentators with ICW have interviewed Dunne, Seven, Wolfgang and Gunn following the match and WWE have since uploaded these interviews on their YouTube channel. You can find each of them below.

Editor’s Note:

ICW is up there in terms of my favorite promotions. Without a doubt, it is my favorite independent promotion. For those that don’t follow it, I highly suggest it. ICW is a Scottish promotion that has been the building place for many current WWE superstars or alumni. Worthy of note as they are topical is Noam Dar, Drew McIntyre, Killian Dain, Kay Lee Ray and Piper Naven all notable as coming from ICW. I have a subscription to the ICW On-Demand Service and I intend on watching both nights of ‘Shug’s Hoose Party 4.’
