John Cena's Gym Don'ts: Misusing the Squat Rack - Powered by Tapout

It looks like we once again, we won’t be able to see him. At least not in a WWE ring for a while.

According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, John Cena has landed a new role in the upcoming spinoff of the “Transformers” movies, titled “Bumblebee.”

From the report:

The story is set in the year 1987, where Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small California beach town. Charlie (Steinfeld), on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary yellow VW bug.

Paramount has set a release date of Dec. 21, 2018.

The leader of the “CeNation” has been accumulating a number of awards recently, including receiving an Emmy Award nomination for a recent commercial that he starred in.

Cena is currently scheduled to face Shinsuke Nakamura on this week’s episode of “Smackdown Live,” with the winner facing Jinder Mahal at “SummerSlam” for the WWE Championship.

Editor’s Note:

I’m not surprised by this announcement. Cena is quickly working his way up the Hollywood ranks, and I have to imagine that it’s only a matter of time before he makes the transition to the silver screen full time.
