That’s one way to break it in. WWE has a long history in Detroit with two Wrestlemanias, a Royal Rumble, a Summerslam (in the suburbs at least) and three Survivor Series. The city is getting a new arena in the next few months and it turns out that WWE is going to be one of its first visitors.

According to WXYZ.com (ABC news affiliate in Detroit), WWE announced at its house show tonight that “Hell in a Cell 2017” will take place in the newly opened Little Caesar’s Arena on October 8. The show will be a “Smackdown Live” pay per view after airing as a “Monday Night Raw” event in 2016.

Opinion: It’s cool to see a new arena get something like this and Detroit’s long history with WWE is a good way to help break in the building. If nothing else it should be interesting to see what “Smackdown Live” puts on for the show as I’m not sure they have enough major feuds to fill in the pay per view car. Maybe they’ll surprise me though.

What do you think will main event the show? Which brand do you prefer the show being under? Let us know in the comments below.
