Welcome back. Every now and then in wrestling, you will see someone who feels like a can’t miss prospect. It could be some combination of multiple things, but they instantly catch your eye and keep your attention for one reason or another. Those cases are rare, but there are also cases where the person does not make it for some reason. Now one of those people is getting another chance.
Back in 2016, Enzo Amore and Big Cass made their Monday Night Raw debuts and blew the roof off of the place. These two had been the hottest things in the world down in NXT and it became pretty clear that they were going to be able to do the same thing on the main roster. That did not wind up being the case though and within less than two and a half years, the team had split and both were out of WWE. Both left due to some backstage issues, but now one of them is getting another chance elsewhere.
Welcome back. Check out a surprise return:
Cass made a surprise return to wrestling at the Lariato Pro Wrestling Guild event on Saturday night. While he did not wrestle on the show, he did team up with Hernandez to save NZO (formerly known as Amore) from an attack. Cass has not wrestled since September 13, 2019 and it is not clear when he will be returning to the ring. The event was taped for Impact Plus and will air at a later date.
Opinion: Good for Cass. His last run in wrestling ended under some less than great circumstances as he did not seem to be able to handle everything that he was doing. Hopefully he has the mental side of things back together because he has all of the physical gifts in the world to make a nice career for himself. I’m not sure how well this will turn out, but he certainly had a nice start.
