(VIDEO): Another One For The Good Guys. Mick Foley Meets A 92 Year Old Fan And Has A History With Her.

Well of course he did. Wrestlers are just like any other group of people. Some of them are nicer than others and some of them aren’t quite so much. However, there are some who are considered to be too nice to be in the wrestling business and every now and then he does something that just makes you smile. That seems to be the case again and it’s just a cool story.

Wilma Gibson, who lives at the Thomas Health Nursing Home in Canandaigua, New York, was granted a wish to meet wrestling legend Mick Foley. As Foley was in the area to perform a comedy show, Foley agreed and came to meet her. There was an extra detail to the story though, as it turns out Gibson, who is 92 years old, was best friends with Foley’s grandmother when the two were children. The two had met before, with Foley saying that he had last seen Gibson in 1990.

WROC News (Rochester, New York) filmed the meeting. Check out this rather sweet story:

Opinion: There is something so cool about a story like this. I know this one isn’t as much wrestling related as much as it is a celebrity seeing someone he had a connection to, even if it was a distant one. Foley is famous for his good deeds and this is the kind of thing that not a lot of people would do. It was certainly a unique visual but if this is what Gibson wanted, it is cool that she got to do so.
