So much for that. The WWE may be the biggest wrestling company in the world but that does not mean they are immune to damage. The company has been taking one hit after another as of late and really could use some good news for a change. That has been the case for a long time now and it doesn’t seem like their good news is coming anytime in the near future.

Over the last year or so, WWE’s stock has absolutely plunged, with one bad result after another causing the bottom to nearly drop out of the whole thing. A lot of this stems from the quarterly financial reports not going as well as expected, which can cause the company to look weak. They needed something to make things look better in a hurry and one of their big ideas does not look likely.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE’s potential deal to sell the rights for their pay per views to ESPN+ is dead. The plan was to announce such a deal by the end of the first quarter of 2020 but that has fallen through. Such a move was considered one of the main reasons the stock price was held up as high as it was. There is no word on if the deal could be done later or if another streaming service might be interested.

WWE has a lot of pay per views to sell. Check out some of their biggest moments from the last year:

Opinion: The hits just keep on coming for WWE, who can’t seem to get out of the line of fire. Things are going to get even worse when they don’t have the WrestleMania revenue to fall back on but this company always finds a way to get through. At the end of the day, things are bad at the moment but they’ve been bad before, meaning they can get better. I’m just not sure how that is going to be the case at the moment.
