That’s going to be a rough sit. There are a lot of stories in the wrestling world and some of them might not be as pleasant as others. That was always going to be the case and in a world with so many outlets for entertainment and stories these days, it was a matter of time before you would see those stories being told. In some cases though, that might be a bit hard to sit through.

Last year, Dark Side of the Ring debuted and instantly became one of the best pro wrestling documentaries that the world has ever seen. The weekly series took a look at some of the more interesting stories that wrestling had to offer, and that’s covering a lot of ground. It was a very well received series and a second season was practically guaranteed. That season has debuted and now you can see the premiere episode.

Vice, the television network that airs the Dark Side of the Ring series, has released the first episode of the second season. This episode focuses on the Chris Benoit double murder/suicide and was a double length episode, both parts of which aired on the same night. The show is narrated by Chris Jericho and features interviews with Jericho, Daniel Benoit (Chris’ son), Chavo Guerrero, Vickie Guerrero and Jim Ross, among others.

There’s nothing easy in this one. Check out both parts of the show:

Opinion: This is one of those stories where you couldn’t possibly cover the whole thing but the show does as good of a job as possible given the circumstances. Some fans can’t separate Benoit the person from Benoit the wrestler and there is nothing wrong with that. There were a lot of factors that went into this situation and it was a horrible tragedy, which deserves another look so many years later.
