So that’s how things are going. Things have been changing in a hurry around WWE over the last few weeks and that is going to be the case for the time being. It is hard to say what is going to be happening from day to day, with some stories popping up out of nowhere. That was the case last week, and now we have an idea of how WWE is going to react to the situation.

Last week, Velveteen Dream was accused of sending inappropriate pictures to an underage fan. He has denied the allegations and claims that he was hacked with the photo being sent without his permission. That is certainly a possibility and there have been no charges filed or any official statement from WWE. However, we now have an idea of what WWE thinks about the whole thing.

During this week’s NXT, an NXT Title match was announced for next week featuring Velveteen Dream challenging Adam Cole. Velveteen Dream has been chasing Cole for several months now and would have been challenging for the title at Takeover: Tampa. This announcement would have been taped after last week’s story about Velveteen Dream broke, suggesting that WWE does not put much weight behind the story, at least so far.

Cole seems ready. Check out his reaction to the title match:

Opinion: This is one way to go and while it might need to change later, it might not be the best move. Unless WWE knows something that we don’t (and that very well may be the case), it might not be the best idea in the world to present someone with an allegation like this against him on television. There is a chance that the story either blows over or is proven false, though there is also the chance that it winds up being true. WWE might want to wait before making such a decision, but this is where they’re going at the moment.

What do you think of WWE’s decision? Will Velveteen Dream win the title? Let us know in the comments below.
