So much for that. As we reported yesterday, Lita and Jerry Lawler were removed from their WWE duties, including being off the “Monday Night Raw” and “Smackdown Live” pre-shows. In an update to that story, Jim Ross is reporting that, according to Lita, she is no longer with the company in any capacity. There is no word on whether the decision to leave was amicable or not. As far as we know, Lawler is still with the company.

Lita has been with WWE since earlier this year and has been appearing on the pre-shows for several months. She also appeared at “Wrestlemania XXXII” to unveil the new WWE Women’s Title. Lita was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014 and, save for one match in 2012, hasn’t wrestled for WWE since 2006.

That’s kind of a shame as I always had fun listening to Lita. She was one of the biggest stars ever in the women’s division and, along with Trish Stratus, are a major reason why we’re seeing the Women’s Revolution today. Stars like Sasha Banks have credited Lita as one of their influences so hopefully she’ll be back with WWE one day.

Were you a fan of Lita’s latest WWE run? Who would you replace her with on the pre-shows?
