This is a bit of a twist. As previously reported, Bullet Club leader Kenny Omega announced that there would be a new member of the Bullet Club. The theory was that the new member would be Ryback but according to a new report from PWInsider.com by way of SEScoops.com, the newest member will actually be Cody Rhodes. The official reveal will come on Friday’s World Tag League finals show.

Rhodes has been making the indy rounds after leaving WWE and one of these appearances might have foreshadowed his status with the Bullet Club. Last Friday, Rhodes appeared at Ring of Honor’s “Final Battle 2016” and turned heel against Jay Lethal. Ring of Honor has a working relationship with New Japan Pro Wrestling so it wouldn’t be the biggest stretch.

This could work. I like the idea of Rhodes joining the team instead of Ryback as the Bullet Club already has a few monsters. Rhodes is the kind of heel that would flourish in the Bullet Club and could get quite the rub out of this move. If he can get a big run out of his time on the indy circuit, good for him. The guy is talented and works hard so hopefully he can advance his career as a result.

Is Rhodes a good fit for the Bullet Club? Would you rather it be someone else? Let us know in the comments below.
