Not so fast? One of the arguably more depressing stories over the last year plus has been the final run of Kurt Angle. There’s no secret to the fact that Angle is far past his prime and nowhere near the same wrestler he used to be. In his prime he was one of the best ever, but now he’s a shell of his former self and can barely move. It would make sense to have him retire at WrestleMania next month, but things might be a little more complicated than that.
According to Rajah.com via Twitter, Angle’s retirement may be taking place immediately with no dream final match taking place at WrestleMania. There is no word on why such a match wouldn’t take place and there is still a possibility of it happening. Angle has wrestled on and off since returning to WWE in 2017, including semi-regularly on both Monday Night Raw and pay per view.
Hearing that a Kurt Angle "retirement" is not only a foregone conclusion at this point, but probably imminent. Sadly, it doesn't sound like he'll get a dream retirement match or anything. Working on getting more info.

It’s not like he’s far removed from his last match. Check out one of Angle’s most recent matches:
Opinion: Really, at this point I can’t say I’m complaining. Angle is someone who seems obsessive about staying in the ring and at some point he’s going to seriously injure himself. As in even more seriously than he already has. He just doesn’t need to keep going and seeing him look bad on the WrestleMania stage isn’t a good idea. Just let him step away on his own and for good this time.
