Update On Eva Marie’s WWE Return

Welcome back? With so many names on the WWE’s all time roster, it can be easy to forget some of the people who have come and gone over the years. Sometimes a wrestler is not going to make enough of an impact to be remembered but other times it is almost impossible to forget them. It seems that we are going to be seeing some of the latter in the near future.

Back in 2013, WWE’s Total Divas premiered on E. The new reality series followed the lives of WWE’s Divas as they navigated both their personal and professional lives. Most of the wrestlers were already well known but there were two who had not been seen before and seemed to have been hired at least in part for the show. They both stuck around for a bit, and now one of them might be making a comeback.

According to PWInsider.com, Eva Marie is now back on WWE’s internal roster, meaning that she will be returning to WWE television at some point in the near future. She has yet to be assigned to a brand though, meaning it is not clear where she will wind up. Marie has been spotted at the WWE Performance Center several times in recent weeks. She has not wrestled since July 10, 2016.

Opinion: On one hand I can understand why someone with Marie’s charisma is being brought back to WWE, but at the same time, WWE’s women’s division has changed so much since she was gone. If Marie is not primarily used as a wrestler, she should be a lot more successful, as her in-ring skills were never exactly her selling point. I’m not sure how well this is going to go, but the signing does make some sense.
