What were you expecting from something with WarGames? Wrestling is a rather physical sport and as a result, you are going to see someone getting hurt every now and then. No matter how trained these people are, there are going to be some bad things that take place every now and then. That was the case on Sunday, and given the kind of match taking place, that shouldn’t be too surprising.
NXT Takeover: WarGames has come and gone and the show was as violent as you would have expected. The show’s two big namesake matches both delivered as they were able to have eight people beat the heck out of each other for a rather long time. As you might expect though, that was going to lead to a few injuries and there was one that was much bigger than the others.
Following the show, Triple H held a media conference call and mentioned that Candice LeRae was injured during the women’s WarGames match. While her exact status is not known, LeRae has suffered an arm injury, with Triple H saying that she will be undergoing an x-ray for a possible broken arm. There is no word on how long she might be out of action or when she was injured during the match.
It was a heck of a brutal match. Check out some of the violence:
Opinion: You have to expect something like this and hopefully LeRae isn’t too banged up. At some point you’re going to have someone get hurt in a match like this and unfortunately it seems to have happened again. Thankfully a broken arm isn’t as severe as something else, but it isn’t the kind of thing you want to see happen. LeRae did well in the match so hopefully she is back sooner than later.
