The ripple effect begins. When WWE put on the United Kingdom Championship Tournament last weekend, it was clear that the UK wrestling scene was starting to change. In this case that would mean that several of the talents in the tournament might need to change their bookings. In this case, that’s happened with two of the bigger names from the tournament roster.
According to Cagesideseats.com, Pete Dunne and Joseph Conners
had to be pulled from IPW: Supershow VI’s broadcast (Dunne will still compete in a dark match) due to their contracts with WWE. At the same time, Dunne has also been pulled from Lucha Forever’s (also part of FloSlam, which runs IPW) debut show with Shane Strickland filling in.
You had to know something like this was coming. At the end of the day, WWE is going to be the biggest priority for the wrestlers and if they don’t want said wrestlers appearing on other broadcasts, that’s going to be the case. I don’t know if this is a way for WWE to cut into FloSlam but if that’s the goal, they’re doing a good job of it.
Do you subscribe to FloSlam? Would you like to see anyone from the tournament appear on the main WWE roster? Let us know in the comments below.
