Well that’s interesting. There is no one hotter in the wrestling world right now than Kenny Omega, who is fresh off the heels of one of the most talked about wrestling matches in recent memory. With his New Japan contract expiring very soon, the big rumor is that he might be a surprise entrant in the 2017 Royal Rumble. However, it seems that WWE doesn’t want to talk about this.

Recently, WWE.com posted an article featuring various wrestlers talking about who they wanted to see as surprise entrants in the Royal Rumble. Seth Rollins mentioned Kenny Omega in the accompanying video but the video was already edited on WWE’s YouTube page. Now the article is gone as well, which will likely lead to a lot more speculation.

With the word being that Omega’s New Japan contract expires on January 31, or two days after the Royal Rumble, Omega actually appearing is a long shot. Now that being said, it wouldn’t be impossible for WWE to find a way to get him out of the contract or to just have him debut a few days later in a big surprise. Or there’s the chance that he doesn’t show up again and just stays in New Japan. Either way, the speculation is one of the most entertaining things about this time of year.

Do you think Omega shows up in the Royal Rumble? Does he come to WWE at all? Let us know in the comments below.
