Hey, you know what’s uncool? Injuries. But boy, there sure are a lot of ’em. Especially in the wrestling business.

Luckily this isn’t a report on a new injury (lord knows we’ve had enough of those this week), but rather a recovery update.

Zack Ryder, who may know as one half of the Hype Bros–and, also, being Zack Ryder–injured his knee late last year in a #1 contender’s battle royal for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. He won, but got injured, so he also lost.

Zack got a variety of recovery time estimates, putting him back in action in anywhere from four to nine months. Not exactly a specific window.

Now, at least, Ryder has made clear he’s on the path to success, posting to Twitter a workout-time selfie with the hashtag “ReturnOfTheZack.”

Look at that handsome devil.

While his former bro is out, Hype man Mojo Rawley is feeling decidedly less hype–though no less determined. There are seeds of some character development for Mojo, and that’s certainly something the former footballer could use. How this injury will turn out for Ryder remains to be seen, but it could be an opportunity for Rawley.

Looking forward to seeing Zack back in action? Let us know in the comments, or on Facebook!
