The wacky night. Halloween is kind of the perfect holiday for wrestling. The entire idea of the industry is to act like someone you aren’t and play some sort of a character. It has worked for years now and it should work again for a long time to come. Every year WWE and NXT tend to do something rather interesting with Halloween and this year was no exception.
This week’s NXT featured the return of Halloween Havoc, which was the first return of the show in twenty years. It is an idea that involves a spruced up set and a lot of the wrestlers in costumes. That makes for some rather interesting options and that is what we got this week, both in the form of comedy and fears. NXT made it work, and there was certainly a lot to see.
Halloween Havoc featured a mixture of gimmick matches, some of which were made by Spin The Wheel, Make The Deal, plus a variety of wrestlers in various costumes. This included Drake Maverick and Killian Dain, who were dressed as various wrestling legends. There was also a masked person dressed as the killer from the Scream franchise who was involved in two matches.
There was a lot going on here. Check out what went down through the night:

Opinion: This was quite the night and it is something that worked out rather well for everyone. There were some great visuals with some awesome moments and matches to go with them. However, this week was all about something special and being a little bit different. It isn’t something that you can do every single week but for a special like this, it worked out well.
