The more the scarier. When WWE won the Monday Night Wars, the victory came with quite the amount of perks. One of the biggest bonuses that they picked up were several WCW trademarks, including some fairly iconic shows and concepts. Now it is over twenty years later and WWE is finally using one of the most famous, and they are doing it in a bigger way than usual.

On Wednesday, NXT will be presenting Halloween Havoc as a special edition of their television show. WCW presented Halloween Havoc from 1989 – 2000, often featuring a special themed set and unique look. This will be the first time WWE has ever used the show’s name and they have a stacked lineup. It turns out that they are going to need a little extra time.

According to Wrestlinginc.com, this week’s broadcast of NXT will be extended, lasting until 10:08 EST instead of the usual 10:00. This is something that has happened before for various special editions and is not a change to a new normal. The show will be headlined by a pair of Spin The Wheel, Make The Deal matches for both the Women’s Title and North American Title.

The show has a history. Check out some Halloween Havoc from years past:

Opinion: This is good in a way as the show is supposed to feel special and it is also not adding in too much extra time. Wednesday is already a packed night with so much wrestling over the course NXT and AEW Dynamite so adding in just less than ten minutes is now the worst idea. As long as it isn’t the new norm and adding in even more and more time week to week, this is fine.
