That really doesn’t sound good. Injuries are the great equalizer in wrestling as anyone can be taken down by an injury at any given time. Some of these are a lot worse than others, but one of the worst kind is an injury where you don’t know how long it could take to heal. That is the case with head injuries and concussions, which can take anywhere from a few weeks to years to forever to heal. A big name in WWE is dealing with another one and it does not have the best diagnosis at the moment.
There are a lot of popular wrestlers in the WWE today but there are none as unique as Samoa Joe. His size, look and overall nature make him one of a kind and that is a very good thing. Unfortunately he is getting up there in years and his hard hitting style has taken a toll on him over his career. Now he is starting to rack up injuries, including a few nasty ones as of late that might cause him some real trouble.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Samoa Joe is considered to be on “shaky ground” in WWE, as he has now suffered two concussions in the span of a month. While only one of them came during a match, the injuries would suggest that he is more injury prone than normal, meaning it may be a longer amount of time before we see him in the ring again. There is currently no word on when Samoa Joe will wrestle again.
Samoa Joe is great when he’s healthy. Check out some of his recent moments:
Opinion: This is a scary situation for both Samoa Joe and WWE as you never can tell with an injury like a concussion. You never can tell how long it might be before someone can get back in the ring from one, but more importantly you don’t know how long it might be before they get another one. It is almost impossible to tell how long it will be before it heals and that is some of the worst news you can have.
