You can’t do that. Wrestlers come and go from WWE on a pretty regular basis. This has been the case for years and almost always will be. You never know when someone might be gone for the last time and that is something that will always be the case. That being said, it is a rarer occurrence to see backstage personnel leave, though that was the case this week. Now we know why.
Earlier this week, news broke that SmackDown writer Chris DeJoseph was suddenly gone from his second stint with WWE. This was rather surprising as DeJoseph had only been back with the company since December and was picking up momentum on SmackDown, even recently getting a promotion. Now he is gone though and we have a better idea as to why.
According to SEScoops.com, DeJoseph was fired over what were called “inappropriate conduct and remarks” during a backstage meeting. While what DeJoseph specifically said or did are not clear, Vince McMahon himself was angry over the incident and fired him over the incident. This was DeJoseph’s second stint with the company, with runs in Major League Wrestling and Lucha Underground in between.
There have been some goodbyes in WWE. Check out some of the better farewells:
Opinion: I’m not sure what DeJoseph said but there does come a point where you just don’t say some things in certain situations. WWE may be a completely insane world at times, but it is still a business and a place where you have to keep an eye on what you say. I’m curious to know what was said though, as it must have been something very over the line to go this far.
