Back so soon? Wrestlers come and go from wrestling companies like WWE all the time. While it was even more common back in the territory days, today you see wrestlers moving from one promotion to another on a regular basis. This makes things all the more interesting on any given day as you never know when someone might be coming or going. That was certainly the case last month but now someone might be on their way back.

Back in April, several names were let go from the WWE, either permanently or temporarily. This was one of the ways that WWE was attempting to ease their financial burden caused by the lack of income due to the Coronavirus. There were all kinds of names released, including active wrestlers, legends and trainers, but one of the bigger names might be on their way back to WWE.

According to Wrestlingnews.co, Kurt Angle is expected to return to WWE sooner rather than later. Angle was one of the many names released from the company on April 15 and is currently riding out his 90 day no compete clause. WWE does not want him appearing for another promotion, especially AEW, as Angle is considered too valuable. Angle appeared as the guest referee on this week’s NXT and also introduced Matt Riddle to the SmackDown audience. He was working as a producer before he was let go.

Angle has quite the history. Check out some of his more impressive moments:

Opinion: This isn’t exactly surprising as Angle was one of the biggest names released back in April. WWE doesn’t want Angle to appear on any other show as he would be a pretty big get for AEW, even if he never wrestles again. I’m not sure if Angle would want to go anywhere else, but if AEW is willing to pay him and WWE isn’t at the moment, it wouldn’t be out of the question.

Will Angle be re-signed? Do you want him to be? Let us know in the comments below.
