Rumor: WWE Highly Interested In Two Top Independent Stars

That would be a big deal. It seems that WWE is signing every big independent wrestling star they can find at the moment. That’s a lot of fun for the wrestling fans as they get to see who is next on the depth chart, but it can also mean some bad things for the independent wrestling scene as their top names are snatched up. Now, WWE may be going after two of the biggest around.

According to PWInsider.com, WWE is currently heavily interested in signing Fenix and Pentagon Jr. The real life brothers have been top independent stars in the last year or two, with both winning the Lucha Underground Title as well as a variety of tag team and other singles titles, including Pentagon Jr. winning the Impact Wrestling earlier this year and Fenix being the reigning AAA Mega Champion. The two are currently hesitant about taking bookings in 2019 and Major League Wrestling sent out the following tweet earlier in the day. Notice the final line and the last word in particular.

Opinion: If WWE actually does pick these two up, it’s going to be a big deal for everyone involved. Pentagon Jr. and Fenix are two of the best stars going at the moment and Pentagon Jr. is treated as one of the biggest names outside of WWE today. Within the last two weeks he’s been in one of the featured matches at All In and was in the main event of TripleMania. I’m not sure if they’re coming to WWE, but the sky is the limit if they do.
