It’s a big endorsement. There are all kinds of wrestlers under the WWE banner, but a lot of them have a hard time being able to get anywhere. It takes something special to make it to the next level in WWE and a lot of wrestlers never make it work. One of the best things that can help is having someone get behind you, and there is no one more important than Vince McMahon. It turns out that someone new has caught the boss’ eye.
As you might have noticed, things have been a little bit different in wrestling over the last few weeks. Thanks to the spread of the Coronavirus, WWE has not exactly been running with a full compliment of performers, meaning that they have had to bring up some talent from NXT to fill in some small gaps. One of the names has gotten McMahon’s attention in a good way.
According to Wrestlingnews.co, NXT wrestler Cal Bloom has been touted by McMahon as a future main eventer, though he is still considered to be in need of a lot more work and polish. Bloom is a former college football player for the University of Central Florida and is the son of former WWE wrestler Beau Beverly. He has been signed to a WWE developmental deal since March 2019 and appeared on the April 10 SmackDown in a loss to Sheamus.
There isn’t much to see from him so take what you can get. Check out what Bloom has done:
Opinion: This might be a bit of a stretch but if McMahon sees something in Bloom, maybe there is something there. I’m not sure if Bloom will wind up being a top star in the future but it is quite the honor to have McMahon think something of you in the first place. Bloom has a pedigree and a good look, so maybe he could turn into a star with more work and polish. It has worked before so maybe it can again.
What did you think of Bloom? Who is the next top star in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
