FREE FULL MATCH: Royal Rumble 2006

There isn’t much else like it. WWE has a lot of television to offer every single week and sometimes, the matches can start to run together. It takes something special to truly stand out but there are times during the year that you know are going to be at least somewhat memorable. One night in particular is one of the biggest nights of the year and now WWE is letting you see it.

There is nothing in the wrestling world like the Royal Rumble. It comes every January and in recent years, we are lucky enough to get two of the show’s namesake matches a night. That is the kind of thing that makes the match feel a little less unique, but certainly makes the night feel more action packed. The days of one Royal Rumble made the show feel more important, and WWE is showcasing some of its video library.

WWE has released the full version of the 2016 Royal Rumble match to their YouTube channel. This match was unique in that it was contested for the WWE Championship, with defending champion Roman Reigns entering the match from the number one spot. The winner of the match would go on to defend the title in the main event of WrestleMania 32 later in the year.

Opinion: This is one of the special ones as even though the ending was a little predictable, it still offered a big time feeling and that isn’t something that you get very often. The Royal Rumble offers it in most years because you know it is going to mean something for WrestleMania, but this was different as it meant something for now. I could go for something like this again, but hopefully with a bigger surprise in the ending.
