Rumor: Former Impact Wrestling Stars Are Heading to WWE

There’s always room for more. The Superstar Shakeup has changed a lot of things and put some fresh talent on both brands. However, there’s always room for a bit more than that might be the case. Based on a new report, there’s a good chance that a familiar face and her not so familiar husband might be showing up soon.

According to the “Dirty Sheets” podcast, Mike Bennett and his wife Maria Kanellis-Bennett are almost ready to sign with WWE. While Bennett has never appeared in WWE, Kanellis-Bennett worked for the company from 2004-2011 and left partially due to issues with the Bella Twins, who aren’t appearing on WWE TV at the moment. There is no word on if they would go to NXT or straight to the main roster.

Opinion: While Kanellis-Bennett was a name in WWE, I’m not sure she’s a big enough name to show up on the main roster again and have an immediate impact. I can’t imagine she’ll be a wrestler but she’s great for a mouthpiece. Bennett is talented but I wasn’t wild on his “Impact Wrestling” run and I’m not sure he’s going to be a big deal in WWE.
