Yeah it was worth it. One of the most well remembered parts of “Wrestlemania XXXIII” was the incredible set. Designed to look like the Universal Studios globe with a rollercoaster on the side, the set was one of the best looking ones the company has ever put together and it added a lot to the show. Now how much did it set WWE back?

According to Sportskeeda.com, the huge set cost approximately $5 million to construct. This likely makes it the most expensive set WWE has ever put together, which isn’t surprising given how intricate the set was. The show being outside allowed the set to be much bigger, as most indoor sets are far less detailed.

Opinion: While it’s a lot of money, this falls under the same category as Randy Savage spending a small fortune on his robes. The idea was very simple: if you want to be a star, you have to look like a star. The “Wrestlemania XXXIII” set looked incredible and you knew you were at the biggest show of the year. That’s something you only get once a year and it makes things mean all that more.
