This Is Really Cool. WWE Posts Original SmackDown Intro With Modern Wrestlers

One of the things you saw every week. We’re less than three days away from SmackDown 1000 and that means a lot of history. With nineteen years to touch on, there’s a bunch of stuff to get through and thankfully WWE is acknowledging that history. One of the most important things about a wrestling show is the intro, as it’s the best way to hook someone on a show. That gave WWE an idea.

Feel the nostalgia for current things.

WWE has released a video showing modern superstars in the original intro for SmackDown Live in honor of SmackDown 1000 next week. The video features the same music and graphics from the shows original years, starting back in 1999. Earlier this year, WWE did the same thing in honor of Raw 25 with a variety of different introductions to the show featuring the modern day superstars.

Opinion: I love this kind of stuff and it never gets old seeing WWE put them together. There’s so much history in a show like SmackDown Live and it’s a cool thing to see WWE acknowledge that history. If nothing else it was great to hear the old music again and then have your head explode a little bit seeing AJ Styles when it should be the Rock or some other wacky combination.
