Why won’t they wake up? Over the years, “Monday Night Raw” and the WWE as a whole have gone through a lot of different changes. These have been tied to various eras, including the New Generation, the Attitude Era and the Reality Era. One that doesn’t get a lot of attention though is the Ruthless Aggression Era, which WWE is looking to remedy at least a little bit.

WWE has released a video with the Ruthless Aggression era intro to “Monday Night Raw” featuring the modern roster. The video, set to the Union Underground’s Across the Nation, is set at the same fast pace as the original video. As a coincidence, Kane, HHH, the Hardy Boyz and Goldust are still featured in the modern version while also being featured in the original version. Here’s the video:

Opinion: Maybe it’s just that I really like that era’s theme song but I liked this a lot. The clips fit and it made the wrestlers seem like stars. I can always go for a good rock theme to the show and this would make me want to see what’s going on. Finally, having Matt Hardy appear as the words “wake up” play was a nice, though probably unintentional touch.
