Major Update Regarding Backstage Heat on The Riott Squad

As you’re well aware, Brie Bella botched a few kicks in the ring and gave Liv Morgan a concussion last month. The WWE Universe has been quick to scold Brie for her actions inside the ring. However, there have been some rumors of The Riott Squad having some backstage heat of their own after Paige recently criticized Sarah Logan and Ruby Riott.

As it was reported by RingSideNews, the General Manager of SmackDown didn’t like the fact that Logan and Riott brought Morgan back into the ring to continue wrestling after she suffered the concussion and should have protected their teammate. That’s led a lot of people to suspect there could be backstage heat on The Riott Squad after the incident.

The fact that the trio lost to The Bella Twins and Ronda Rousey at Super Show-Down in Australia and the next night on Raw has only fueled those rumors. According to a new report from RingSideNews, the WWE Universe has overblown the entire situation. The incident is considered water under the bridge and there’s no backstage heat on anyone.

WWE officials booking The Riott Squad to lose those matches wasn’t a punishment. The purpose was to put over the Bellas and Rousey before the heel turn that has set up their Raw Women’s Championship Match for WWE Evolution. As far as anyone knows, WWE officials are happy with the trio’s work. All three women “did their job” extremely well.

Since The Riott Squad did the Bellas and Rousey a favor, their booking should improve heading into Evolution. Logan, Morgan, and Riott don’t seem to have any backstage heat on them. If anything, it’s the opposite. There have been rumors of WWE bringing back Women’s Tag Team Titles and the trio should be a top choice to become champions.
