That’s a long time. There are certain wrestlers who seem to be lifers in the wrestling business. No matter what they do, they continue to stick around and it is hard to imagine them doing anything else besides wrestling. That is certainly not a bad thing if they can continue at such a high level and one wrestler who can do just that might not be going anywhere for a long time.
While he might not be the most popular name in the business today, Randy Orton has long since established himself as one of the best of all time. He has more titles than he knows what to do with and has had quite the string of classic matches. That is something worth bragging about, especially now that he has reached forty years old. Most people consider retiring at that point, but that is not going to be the case with Orton for a long time if he has anything to say about it.
During his appearance on Steve Austin’s Broken Skull Sessions, Orton said that he would like to wrestle for another ten years if possible. Orton talked about how his main goal is to keep his shoulder healthy, following a series of shoulder injuries over the years. He also mentioned not being able to imagine branching out into something else as he is a professional wrestler. Orton is scheduled to face the Fiend at WrestleMania 37.
Orton has quite the string of greatness. Check out some of his best work:
Opinion: I know Orton has been around for a very long time now but at the end of the day, he is still someone who is going to be hard to top. You know what you are getting out of Orton and that is better than what a lot of other people can do. As long as he can sneer and hit the RKO, there is little reason for him to even consider walking away if he is happy with what he is doing.
