That would be well received. WWE is a massive company and easily the biggest wrestling company in the world. That has been the case for a very long time now and barring a big surprise, it is going to be the same thing for a good many years. One of the biggest reasons for their success is that they are on a variety of national television networks, which brings them in a lot of money. That might be the case again, and in a bigger way.

Last year saw WWE sign new television deals with both NBC Universal and FOX to air Monday Night Raw/NXT and SmackDown on national television. Those are the kinds of deals that you don’t get to see very often and they are the going to keep WWE’s coffers very full for a very long time. That being said, WWE’s audiences have not been going as well and that could change the amount of money they get next time. In theory that is.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE’s next television deals are expected to increase “significantly” because wrestling is almost guaranteed to draw acceptable numbers two nights a week, which is more than several other shows can. The current television deals both expire in late 2024, though it is not clear if any other networks might be interested in acquiring WWE programming.

The shows have been doing well as of late. Check out their better moments:

Opinion: This is some great news for WWE assuming it winds up being true. At the same time, it does make some sense as Monday Night Raw and SmackDown still draw in over a million viewers each every week, with SmackDown regularly drawing over two million. That is the kind of result that several networks would be thrilled to have and WWE knows how to build that into as much money as they can. Good for them, assuming it works.

Where will WWE air next? Will it be for more money? Let us know in the comments below.
