There’s room for a lot more. We are coming up on Survivor Series and while there are a lot of people set for the card, there are not that many actual matches. The card currently sits at six matches total, though with so many champion vs. champion and elimination matches, the show is already stacked. As usual though, WWE always has room for more and that is why we have a new match.

Over the last few years, Survivor Series has been built around two major themes: survival and the Battle For Brand Supremacy. That can make for an interesting mixture as there are a lot of different ways to present such concepts. WWE has a lot of wrestlers on both rosters and that means they can pick from a wide variety of matches. Now they have picked another match to add to the card.

WWE has announced a Dual Branded Battle Royal featuring Monday Night Raw and SmackDown wrestlers for the Survivor Series Kickoff Show. There is no word on which wrestlers will appear in the match or how many will participate in total. This is currently the only match announced for the Kickoff Show, which begins at 6pm EST Sunday on the WWE Network.

Battle royals are always worth seeing. Check out what you might be seeing:

Opinion: A battle royal is one of those matches that works out rather well for everyone involved and is easy to book. You could throw in whomever you want and given them a quick win while also setting up the first win in the Battle For Brand Supremacy. This is a really easy move to make and hopefully the match winds up being good enough to get things started right.
