It took its time. Wrestling is a tricky industry as the promotion has to figure out how to time things just right. You don’t want to hot shot a big match or story but you also don’t want to take too long to set things up. If you wait too long, the story you have isn’t going to be as good as it could be as the fans just aren’t going to care that much. WWE is trying to find that right balancing act again.
While the company might not be the most popular at the moment, they have some very good stories going on. One of the best has been between Bayley and Sasha Banks, who were partners for years before Bayley turned on her in a brutal attack. This has been designed to set up a huge showdown between the two, which will take place this Friday night on SmackDown. It might be a little more complicated than that.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, there is a chance that either Bayley or Banks will be sent to Monday Night Raw in this week’s Draft. It is not clear what this would mean for their feud, which is set to include this Friday’s title match. The pairing was originally put in place to lead to an eventual split, but the split was delayed due to how well the two worked together. There is no word on which, if either, will be sent to the other brand.
The two have a history together. Check out how we got to Friday:
Opinion: I’m not sure on this, as the two have been paired together in one way or another for a very long time now. The only possible solution to having this take place that I could see is to have Banks get cheated out of the title, win the Royal Rumble and finally end Bayley’s reign in a huge match at WrestleMania 37. That could be a heck of a long shot, but otherwise I’m not sure what they are supposed to do.
What do you expect from the story? When should Banks win the title? Let us know in the comments below.
