Stick around for a bit. There are a lot of wrestlers on the WWE roster but that does not mean they are all going to be sticking around. While it’s true that WWE has a lot of spots available, they cannot keep everyone around and at some point a few people are going to leave one way or another. It helps to get wrestlers signed to new deals, and that was the case with a big Monday Night Raw name.
There have been some new faces on the main roster in the last year with Riddle being near the top. Riddle has a UFC background and more natural charisma than he knows what to do with, making him one of those guys where you can’t take your eyes off of him when he is on camera. That makes him the kind of guy that WWE would want to keep around, which they seem to have done.
According to Fightful Select, Riddle has signed a new contract with WWE which will keep him with the company through the end of 2023. This comes after several weeks of questions about Riddle’s contract possibly expiring later this summer. There is no word on any of the terms of the contract, other than it being a new deal rather than an extension of the one Riddle had been on.
Riddle has been busy lately. Check out what he has been up to:
Opinion: This is the kind of signing that WWE has needed to make as Riddle is someone who could be a big deal for a long time to come. Rather than just keeping Riddle around, WWE also needed to keep him away from AEW, as they would likely be interested in acquiring Riddle in a hurry. I’m glad to see this, as Riddle is a talented guy who deserves a chance on the big stage.
