The Royal Rumble is always one of the most exciting events of the wrestling year. Returns happen, new challengers for world titles are established and energy is in the air as “The Road to Wrestlemania” officially begins. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has certainly made things difficult for WWE, as the company has not had a show with live spectators since March 9, 2020, which has had made morale difficult within the company.

However, according to a tweet from WrestleVotes:

Source said the vibe last night was the most upbeat locker room he’s seen in a long while. This time of year usually does that, but, also went on to say that the “Road to WrestleMania” has real meaning this year, serving as a small light at the end of a dark tunnel.

Check out some highlights from last night’s show:

Editor’s Opinion:

This makes all the sense in the world to me. As wrestling fans, we all love the Royal Rumble and the energy that comes with it; I’m sure that the same can be said for the superstars in the locker room. With the announcement that live fans will be in attendance for WrestleMania and the vaccine beginning to be distributed, there’s no doubt that things are starting to look up for WWE; hopefully, we can return to “normal” wrestling shows sooner rather than later!
