That’s some special treatment. There are some wrestlers who are considered more important than others and there isn’t much of a way around it. These stars are big deals and therefore they are going to be treated differently than the rest of the roster. One such name is bigger than almost anyone else though and that means he is getting some special treatment than just about anyone else.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Brock Lesnar gets to call his own shots in WWE, even getting to override Vince McMahon himself. He is allowed to choose who he wants to face and who he gets to lose to, which is a different situation than anyone else in the company gets two have. Lesnar won the WWE Championship last week on SmackDown. There is no word on when he will be wrestling again.
This might have been his call. Check out Lesnar’s most recent match:
Opinion: Is this surprising? Lesnar has been treated as a different kind of performer for a long time now and I don’t see that ever changing. He is treated differently because he is different, but at what point does that lose its luster? There are only so many ways you can treat Lesnar and I’m not sure how much of an impact he really has after holding the titles for so long. I understand his treatment, but that doesn’t mean it makes the most sense.
Should Lesnar get special treatment? Who will take the title from him? Let us know in the comments below.
