A Random Pairing. A Music Star And Former WCW Personality Is Buying Into The Independent Wrestling Scene.

I didn’t see this coming. There have been a lot of celebrities involved in wrestling over the years and some of them have gone better than others. You can often tell when someone is there because they are required to be but you can also tell when someone is a big fan and is having a great time. They might not appear very often, but some of them come back later. That is the case this time around, and you might be surprised.

In a new video posted on Twitter, rapper and businessman Master P announces that he has purchased the House of Glory wrestling promotion out of New York City. He also says that he is coming for Vince McMahon and hiring the best wrestlers in the world. House of Glory was founded by Amazing Red in 2012 and runs a show about every two months, almost always in New York City. Master P appeared in WCW in 1999 but has not had a major role in wrestling since.

Opinion: Uh, sure? This is one of the most random surprises I’ve heard of in a long time, though it’s hardly a bad idea. Master P certainly has the money to spend and if this is something that he wants to do, good for him. Maybe he can turn the promotion into a bigger deal and it’s not like he’s starting from scratch. I have no idea how this is going to go but maybe it can work out well for everyone.
