NXT Reveals Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Brackets

Last year NXT gave us one of the most entertaining tournaments in a long time with the first annual Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. The tournament is back again this year with sixteen teams fighting in the memory of one of the all time greats. With the first round set to starts tonight, the NXT Twitter page has released the full brackets.

There are some very interesting potential matchups in this bracket with Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa being lined up with NXT Tag Team Champions the Revival in the second round. However, whoever wins there is likely getting the undefeated Authors of Pain, who may be the favorites to win the whole thing. On the other half of the bracket, TM-61 seems capable of making a pretty easy run to the finals.

If there’s one thing WWE has improved on lately, it’s their tournaments. These things have a tendency to be predictable and boring but last year’s Dusty Classic and this year’s Cruiserweight Classic have been some of the most entertaining in wrestling history. There are several new teams as well, meaning the tournament could help restock the tag division.
